“Wisdom is the daughter of experience.” – Leonardo da Vinci

For Rafael (Ralph) Rubinstein, designing the mechanical and electrical systems is about infusing a structure with its soul. His designs reflect over forty years of professional experience, design innovation and successful client interactions. Ralph enjoys advising his clients as they implement his design strategies to help them maximize their goals.

As Owner of Aquarius Consulting Group, Ralph believes in a comprehensive approach. Every design delivered by Aquarius Consulting Group incorporates Ralph’s inventive talents, wide range of experience and resources. As an innovator, inventor, consultant and coach with his design team and strategic partners, Ralph has been on the forefront of HVAC, plumbing and electrical design for over a thousand successful buildings. Ralph provides his clients with maximum results that exceed their expectations.

Ralph’s designs simplify construction, achieve greater diversity with lower costs and enhanced performance at all levels of building occupancy.  In 1974 Ralph received a US Patent for the application of an air transfer method that reduces the number of conditioning units in multi-dwelling type structures. Ralph was one of the first consultants to develop and implement a multi-rooftop unit arrangement to perform as a single central system. Ralph’s ingenuity evolved to produce advanced hybrid air conditioning systems utilizing the application of gas, heat pumps, storage and refrigeration technologies.

Ralph graduated from the New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Ralph is a member of ASHRAE, NSPE, ASPE, AEE, and NFPA.

Ralph’s motto has always been: “No problems, only solutions.”  He values his relationships with clients, manufacturers and contractors. Equally important to him are the relationships he has with his own staff and his strategic partners at Aquarius Consulting Group.  If you get the feeling while reading this that Ralph is a “workaholic” you’ve got the right impression.

This passionate approach was forged long before Ralph’s professional life began. Having a father who was a pioneer in the refrigeration industry, Ralph found himself as a boy and teenager working with his dad and learning compressor building technology at every chance had.  In high school he designed and built a miniature ice production plant.  Ralph has dedicated much of his life to using his talents in designing the most efficient, cost effective and innovative systems in the world.

Haim Naimowitz, PE

New York University College of Engineering, and holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  His engineering education also includes substantial Post Graduate study beyond the Masters Degree towards a Ph.D. in Engineering at New York University.  Mr. Naimowitz has been in the Engineering business for the past 33 years.

He was employed by a nationally known Boiler Manufacturer where in addition to engineering also handled field assignments in Service and Construction.  He also was employed by one of the most prominent Industrial Design Engineering Concerns, and for many years worked for major Consulting Engineering firms in New York City, where he was a Project Manager.  His experience includes major studies and reports, design of Hospitals, Institutions, Apartment Complexes, Boiler Plants, and Industrial Applications.

Mr. Naimowitz is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and he is a Registered Professional Engineer in four states and holds a National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying Certificate.

Matthew C. Zabrosky, PE

Mr. Zabrosky possesses over ten years of engineering design, project management and contract administration experience.  He started his engineering career with a large international engineering and construction firm in Northern New Jersey.  While employed with this firm, Mr. Zabrosky worked as part of large engineering project teams where he designed electrical power distribution systems for coal fired power generating, oil refineries, coke manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, material handling, and fine chemical manufacturing facilities.  It was during this time that he gained experience in performing electrical load flow, voltage drop, transient motor starting, fault current and protective device coordination analysis using an electrical system modeling software packages.  He also accepted field assignments to provide engineering support for projects being constructed by the firm.

Mr. Zabrosky then joined a power systems dealer organization for an internationally distributed engine generator and uninterruptible power supply manufacturer.  Here Mr. Zabrosky provided technical application support for the design of critical and emergency power generation systems to other consulting engineers in the New York Metropolitan area.  It was during this engagement that he developed his expertise in the areas of critical, standby and emergency power generation system design.  He also headed the organization’s “turnkey” projects team where he managed the sale, subcontracting and installation of standby and emergency generator installation projects.

Utilizing his previously gained experience and skills, Mr. Zabrosky joined a mid sized consulting engineering firm that specialized in building system engineering.  Here Mr. Zabrosky was actively involved in the detailed design of building electrical systems.  He not only brought his standby and emergency power system expertise to the firm, but the design experiences helped him quickly gain an expertise in other specialty electrical building systems such as lighting control, fire alarm and security systems.  In addition to learning an expertise in these specialty areas, he gained a solid foundation of traditional electrical design experience in power distribution and architectural lighting.  During this engagement Mr. Zabrosky served as the project manager for multiple public and private design projects.  As a project manager, he acquired a sound working knowledge of other building system trades such as fire protection, plumbing and mechanical.  In addition to acquiring knowledge of other building systems as a project manager, Mr. Zabrosky also prepared and processed contract documents for projects in which his firm was employed to provide contract administration services.  While working at this firm Mr. Zabrosky achieved the status of a licensed professional engineer.  He was then promoted to the operations manager for the operating division in which he worked.
